Employment History: Worked as a Congressional Aid at some point either during or before Law School. Worked for Dewey & Ballentine, a prestigious New York Law Firm. Sometime later moved to Gage Whitney and Pace also in New York where he worked on corporate cases. In 1998 he was asked by his aquaintance, Josh Lyman, to come and work on the campaign to elect Govener Josiah Bartlet of New Hampshire to President. Josh had previously asked Sam to come and work for Senetor John Hoynes as a speechwriter but was constantly turned down. However, Sam was unhappy with the cut throat world of corporate law where he felt he was comprimising his ideals and left with Josh to join the Bartlet Campaign. He worked as White House Deputy Communications Director for 4 years before agreeing to run as a congressional candidate as a stand in for the original choice who had died. Whether he will be elected to the seat in the California 47th district, Orange County, where Sam grew up is yet to be seen.
